The way I like to approach is a mix is by the way the song speaks to me. I listen to the whole idea and I listen for what was being evoked by the writer, the singer and the producer. I tend to focus on vocals as much as I can, as the foundation of most commercial music lies with the vocals.

I will ask questions about the format the mix is required for, for example television and radio, the demographic etc..But mainly, I will mix the song the way it speaks to me, how it wants to be heard. It's a very organic process, just get out of its way and listen with the ears and heart. For lovers of music, for commercial ears.

For in house mixing, files must be seperated and sent on a DVD/CD in wav or .LSO format (Logic). If you are not sure, we will contact the person doing the transfer on your behalf.
